Senior Transportation Services

Getting to medical appointments, the grocery store, or community activities shouldn’t be a barrier to independence. At Interim Healthcare of La Jolla, we offer trusted senior transportation services across San Diego, helping older adults get where they need to go safely, comfortably, and on time.

Whether it’s a routine doctor visit or a much-anticipated lunch with friends, our reliable transportation options give seniors the freedom to stay active, engaged, and in control of their lives.

What is Senior Transportation?

Senior transportation refers to door-to-door driving services designed specifically for older adults. It’s more than just a ride—it’s a safe, personalized experience with trained caregivers who understand seniors’ mobility, communication, and comfort needs.

Unlike traditional rideshare services, our drivers are professional caregivers who can assist clients with getting in and out of vehicles, carrying bags, and navigating appointments.

Our Senior Transportation Services Include

  • Medical Appointments: Timely rides to primary care doctors, specialists, dental visits, dialysis, and more.

  • Pharmacy Pickups: Assistance picking up prescriptions or over-the-counter medications.

  • Grocery Shopping Trips: Transport and support during shopping, including lifting and carrying items.

  • Social & Religious Outings: Trips to senior centers, places of worship, or visits with friends and family.

  • Therapy & Rehabilitation Sessions: Rides to physical, occupational, or speech therapy appointments.

  • Custom Errands & Destinations: Tailored trips based on the senior’s preferences and needs.

Why Transportation Matters for Seniors

As driving becomes more challenging with age, many older adults face increased isolation, missed appointments, or a decline in independence. Our senior transportation services address these challenges by offering:

  • A safe alternative to driving

  • Continued access to essential services

  • Social opportunities and community involvement

  • Peace of mind for family members who can’t always provide a ride

By empowering seniors to remain mobile, we promote better health, happiness, and confidence.
