The 2025 Healthy Aging Conference at The Fairbanks in Rancho Santa Fe opened with an unforgettable presentation from author and Union-Tribune columnist Richard Lederer, who brought wisdom and wit to the stage. His reflections on aging, language, and legacy reminded us that the heart and humor of life only grow stronger with time.
Following Richard’s talk, Dr. Bob Uslander of Empowered Endings shared a moving and insightful conversation about holistic, person-centered care. As one of our trusted partners, Dr. Uslander emphasized the importance of planning with dignity, choosing peace, and empowering seniors to make thoughtful end-of-life decisions that honor their values.

Throughout the day, multiple esteemed healthcare leaders presented on vital topics including Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care, and proactive wellness strategies for aging in place.
